I am a student at the University of Florida, studying Political Science and Sociology. While studying these topics, I became interested in politics on the global level and how society defines the mechanism by which governments exist and function. I want to aid in debunking misconceptions of others and helping people become aware on a global level, because awareness is the key to understanding, tolerance and acceptance. Discussion is important and encouraged; articles present a unique opportunity where information, ideas and opinions can go multiple ways. I am thrilled to be a part of the Suite 101 community and hope we can all learn from one another.
